This means that there are nine spades left in the deck. It\u2019s important to understand this principle because it will allow you to evaluate a bet by looking at how likely it is that the next card you\u2019ll receive will be what you need to improve your hand.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s also important to remember that you will have winning hands and losing hands. The goal is to extract as much value as possible from your winning hands and minimise losses from your losing ones. This principle is called min-max. It\u2019s an extremely useful lesson and can be applied to any endeavour that requires a degree of uncertainty.
